How does it work?

Pulsed light is absorbed by melanin (a coloured pigment) present in hair during the growth stage (Anagen phase) and is then conducted down to the root of the hair. This light is turned into heat , and it is the heat that destroys the follicle and the root without any side effects. Your hair grows in cycles and only the hair that is visible can be treated. Laser and light systems treat the hair follicles in the growth cycle at the time of the treatment. Since some hair follicles may enter their growth cycle after your treatment multiple treatments may be required to deliver optimal results. The absence of melanin in the hair prevents the transfer of heat, which is the reason for the lack of results with white hairs, and why Extra sessions are needed to treat fair hairs.

What does Laser hair removal feel like? Is it painful?

Some people describe the feeling to be similar to a mild pinch of a rubber band. However, anaesthetics are not necessary. For some part you do not even feel it.

How many treatments will I need?

People receiving pulsed light treatment show at least an 80% success rate for hair not growing back. Usually 6 to 10 treatments are needed every 4-8 weeks, however, your hair grows in different cycles and many factors influence its growth. Age, sex, ethnicity, weight, hormones, diet, skin pigmentation, medication and metabolism all play a part in your hair’s location, thickness and resilience. The number of treatments you may require for optimal long term benefits depends on the area you wish to have treated, the hair density and your hair’s growth cycle Most patients like to treat until the hair is gone. Achieving the expected result requires a period of one and a half year however, in case of hormone disorder more time is required. In case of hormonal disorder more time is required.

What should I do before and after my treatment?

Shaving 2 to 3 days Before treatment would give you the best result. You should try not to expose treated areas to the sun, before or after each session. After a treatment the skin maybe red and bumpy, this is absolutely normal. We recommend protecting the area from the sun, avoiding activities such as exercise, saunas, hot shower for 24 hours immediately after treatment. The area should be moisturized with a soothing cream and cleansed with a mild soap. Tanning cream should not be used during treatments.

What should I do to manage the hair between each visit?

You should not have much hair by then, but if you want you can shave or trim. You also can wax at least 15 days before your treatment.

Are the results permanent? What results does it give?

Hair growth reduces about 80%-90% on the existing hair. This instrument is not effective on gray, very blond or thin hair. The body grows about 15%-18% of new hair in a period of one and a half years. The absence of melanin in the hair prevents that transfer of heat, which is the reason for the lack of results with white hair, and why extra sessions are needed to treat fair hair. The anagen or growth phase of hair contains the largest amounts of melanin and this phase is the laser’s target. From scientific studies we understand that any area contains a minimum of 20%-30% of anagen hair at one time. Repeated sessions are necessary. If you suffer from a hormone imbalance your treatments may be ongoing. Every client’s expectation of hair loss are different, some may be happy with 50-60 loss and may want to discontinue and others may want to continue until they reach their maximum loss of 80-90%.

Does laser hair removal create or treat ingrown hair?

The laser will not create ingrown hair; it will produce an effective treatment to clear the ingrown hair.

How are these treatments different from electrolysis?

Electrolysis is a much slower process. With electrolysis; a needle is actually inserted into each hair follicle, one at a time. Once inserted, an electric shock burns the follicle to retard hair growth. Because laser and light systems scan the skin rather than treating one hair at a time, it is possible to treat larger areas such as the back, shoulders, arms, legs, face and neck. Best of all, these advanced hair removal treatments are safe, fast, gentle and affective alternative methods for hair removal.

Does it matter how dark my skin is?

Hair removal laser works by targeting the melanin. By adjusting the power settings on the lasers your technician can focus on the melanin in the hair and not the melanin in the skin. So it can be done for any type of skin color.

BOTOX and Fillers are popular non-surgical cosmetic treatments aimed at reducing wrinkles, enhancing facial contours, and rejuvenating the skin’s appearance.

What is BOTOX?
BOTOX, derived from botulinum toxin, is a muscle-relaxing injectable used to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines caused by muscle movement. It is primarily used on areas like the forehead, crow’s feet, and frown lines.

How does BOTOX work?
BOTOX injections block signals from the nerves to the targeted muscles, temporarily paralyzing them. As a result, the muscles relax, and the wrinkles caused by their movement soften and diminish.

What results can you expect?
After BOTOX treatment, patients typically notice a reduction in the appearance of wrinkles and lines, leading to smoother, younger-looking skin. The effects usually become noticeable within a few days to a week after treatment and can last for several months.

What are Fillers?
Dermal fillers, often made from hyaluronic acid or collagen-stimulating substances, are used to add volume, smoothen wrinkles, and enhance facial contours. They are commonly applied in areas such as the cheeks, lips, and nasolabial folds.

How do Fillers work?
Fillers are injected beneath the skin to restore lost volume, fill in wrinkles, and enhance facial features. They work by plumping up the targeted areas, providing a more youthful and smoother appearance.

What results can you expect?
Fillers are effective in smoothing wrinkles, restoring volume, and enhancing facial contours. Patients often notice immediate results following the injections, and the outcomes typically last for several months to a year, depending on the type of filler used.

Treatment Recommendations
The treatment plan for BOTOX and Fillers is personalized based on individual goals and facial anatomy. Multiple injections may be necessary for optimal results. Periodic touch-up sessions are often recommended to maintain the effects.

Facial Skin Rejuvenation

Laser skin treatment is used to treat enlarged pores, acne, broken capillaries, fine lines, and wrinkles. Flashes of pulsed light reduce the effects of skin aging. This treatment stimulates collagen production, modifies connective tissues, tightens up dilated pores, and improves skin elasticity.

How does it work?

Laser facial works by gently heating the upper derm, below your skins surface. The intense pulsed light is absorbed by pigmentation and dilated capillaries in the treatment area.

How many treatments are required?

Although each individual case varies, most individuals require anywhere between 5 to 6 sessions. Every 3 weeks is enough to achieve the desired result. Then one or two follow up sessions must be done every 6 months.

What results does it give?

Results appear progressively. The treatment is non-invasive, non-abrasive, or with a short recovery time that does not interfere with normal life.

What should I avoid after the treatment?

After treatment the things that should be avoided are sun exposure, tanning beds, and avoiding excessive heat, such as sauna or hot tubs within 24 hours.

In our everyday life we are exposed to pollution, stress, and weather conditions. With these entire factors in mind, we are slowly neglecting and harming our skin. With the latest technique in skin exfoliation, we can slowly improve the skins conditions by removing the dead skin cells for our skin to breathe better.

With this treatment being done, we can stimulate the blood circulation to the epidermis layer to enhance a healthier skin environment. With the treatment being done, we are slowly improving our skin condition giving back a healthy glow we were meant to have.

Treatments are non surgical, non invasive, and most importantly painless. Process in which a jet stream of crystals (corundum) is delivered through a closed loop vacuum system onto the skin’s surfaced to be gently abraded. Crystals are then vacuumed with the dead cells into a separated waste container to be disposed.

What does the treatment feel like?

With the microdermabrasion you will feel the sensation of having a rough washcloth being lightly brushed upon your skin.

Who can benefit from the treatment?

Anybody can benefit from the microdermabrasion treatments, depending on their skin type and conditions. To receive greater results, consult your aesthetician for proper treatments

  1. minimizes: fine line and wrinkle, acne scars and strech marks
  2. enlarges pores
  3. smooth skin texture
  4. hyper pigmentation/ uneven tones

What results can you expect?

You might feel a warm sensation, because of the stimulation of blood flow to the surface of the skin. Results are visible even with the first treatment clients will notice some improvement in skin condition and texture.

How many treatments are recommended?

Treatments can vary from 6 to 10 sessions depending on their skin condition and skin type. For a lasting and more significant results a monthly maintenance would be highly recommended. The client should repeat the treatment every 7/10 days for a series of 6 to 10 treatments.

What is a facial ?

A facial is a great way to take care of your skin. Facial cleans, and nourishes the skin in order to promote a clear and well hydrated skin. It includes deep cleansing, exfoliation, toner, steamer, massage, and a nourishing mask.

What are the steps of a facial?

A good facial includes a number of steps. It first begins with a bright magnifying lamp directed to your face, so your skin type can be identified. Then the face is thoroughly cleansed with cotton pads along with a product chosen that matches your skin type, such as dry, oily, normal, sensitive, mature, or combination. A steam vapour is then directed at your face, at this moment all blackheads and white heads are removed. A face massage will then be given, to both relax and stimulate your skin and facial muscles. After the massage, a facial mask is targeted to your skin; the mask may vary depending on skin types (dry, oily, combination, mature, sensitive).

The final step of the facial is applying toners and protective creams on the face. Exfoliation using a mechanical or chemical exfoliant. Mechanical exfoliation has a gritty texture and usually happens while a steam vapor is directed at your face. Some facials may use steam towels instead.

Extraction of blackheads or whiteheads can be done if you require. (It can cause broken capillaries and discoloration if done on sensitive skin, or done improperly.) People have different pain tolerance for extractions. They can be uncomfortable, especially on thin or ruddy skin.

• Facial massage relaxes you and stimulates your skin and facial muscles.
• A facial mask targeted to your skin type (dry, oily, combination, sensitive, mature.)
• Application of toners and protective creams

Serums

They are usually applied at the end of a facial. They can also be applied before going to bed. How often should you get a facial? Getting a facial varies from person to person, however an ideal amount of time would be to get a facial every four to six weeks, because that is how long it takes for the skin to regenerate. A facial may be needed more in cases of acne or other facial problems. Otherwise, once a month is plenty. You can overdo it.

This treatment is able to effectively treat Vulgaris, Conglobata and Rosasecea Acne. Acne is born when the opening of the hair follicle is blocked. Bacteria is then trapped in the hair follicle and begins to multiply rapidly. As the body’s immune system attempts to fight these bacteria, inflammation begins and acne appears. The intensive light releases an oxygenator which eliminates the bacteria and bacterial activity.

Acne treatment relieves the inflammation and acne, and leaves you with a soft and healthy skin.

Skin blemishes due to abnormal blood vessels located directly under your skin’s surface that give the skin red color are called vascular lesion. Pigmented lesions are caused by a proliferation of melanocytes in the skin. Melanocytes contain the cells that manufacture melanin, which is the dark pigment in the skin.

How do IPL treatments work?

IPL treatments are performed with a non-invasive medical system that uses intense pulsed light therapy to reduce melanin, the dark pigment in your skin. The lights energy gently delivered to your skins impulses, through a delicate, computer-controlled hand piece. After your IPL treatment, the treated vascular lesion or hair will gradually fade and slowly disappear.

What conditions can IPL treat?

  1. Freckles
  2. Age spots
  3. Sun spots
  4. Hyperpigmentation
  5. Rosacea
  6. Vascular

Sun spots (lentigos)

Also known as ‘age spots’, ‘liver spots’, ‘brown spots’ and ‘freckles’, are multiple, flat spots on the skin caused by uneven distribution of melanin (skin pigment). They typically appear on sun exposed areas of the skin like the face, neck, arms and shoulders.
The melanin pigment in our skin absorbs sunlight and helps to protect our skin from UV rays. However as we age, our skin’s natural ability to fend off UV rays gradually deteriorates, and we see the development of age spots and more and more other sun damage.

Other quick facts about sun spots and freckles:

Freckles may start to appear at a very young age. After age 40, our skin is less able to regenerate from sun exposure and the sun spots become more prominent.

Freckles most commonly occur in light-skinned people who have less melanin pigment that can protect the skin from sun exposure. Abnormal melanin such as in the freckles and brown spots are also commonly seen in those who have a genetic tendency to develop freckles.
Most sun spots are benign, but if you notice any with abnormal changes in color or shape, you should see a dermatologist to determine if they are cancerous or not.

Excessive exposure of UVA and UVB light from tanning beds may also lead to brown spots

Purpose:

  • Renew youthful glow
  • Reduce appearance of wrinkles
  • Reduce hyper-pigmentation
  • Increase collagen
  • Firm skin & tighten pores
  • Revitalize dull complexion
  • Reduce and control Acne
  • Skin tightening

How it works?

Vampire Restoration, also known as Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy, is an innovative and natural treatment that uses your body’s own healing properties to rejuvenate and restore the skin’s appearance.

What is Vampire Restoration?
Vampire Restoration involves extracting a small amount of your blood, which is then processed to separate the platelet-rich plasma. This plasma, rich in growth factors and nutrients, is reintroduced into targeted areas of the skin through microinjections. The growth factors stimulate collagen production, improving skin texture, tone, and promoting natural healing.

How does it work?
The platelet-rich plasma is carefully injected into specific areas of the skin, stimulating cell growth and collagen production. This process helps to minimize fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, and sun damage, resulting in a rejuvenated and more youthful appearance.

What results can you expect?
Over time, patients typically notice an improvement in skin texture, increased firmness, and a reduction in fine lines and wrinkles. The skin becomes more radiant and youthful-looking as natural healing processes are activated.

Treatment Recommendations
The number of sessions required may vary depending on individual skin concerns and goals. Generally, a series of sessions spaced a few weeks apart is recommended for optimal results. Maintenance sessions may be advised to sustain the rejuvenating effects.

Belkyra-Kybella Injection is a non-surgical treatment designed to reduce submental fullness, commonly known as a “double chin,” by targeting and dissolving fat cells.

How does Belkyra-Kybella Injection work?
The treatment involves injecting a synthetic form of deoxycholic acid into the fat beneath the chin. Deoxycholic acid helps break down and absorb fat cells, gradually reducing the appearance of a double chin.

What results can you expect?
Patients typically notice a visible reduction in submental fullness over several treatment sessions. As the fat cells are destroyed and absorbed by the body, the chin profile becomes more contoured and defined.

Treatment Recommendations
The number of sessions required may vary based on individual needs and the desired outcome. Multiple injections are usually administered during each session, and treatments are spaced several weeks apart.
